Where Winds Meet PC requirements

Where Winds Meet is an open-world Wuxia RPG set to deliver a sprawling world of Chinese culture and history. From what we've seen of the game's trailers and cinematics, the Where Winds Meet PC requirements were always going to be demanding of any PC, and the developer has confirmed this to be true with their official beta test requirements. Of course, the following official requirements are for the game's beta period, so there is a chance they will increase prior to the game's full release in 2024. 

To meet the Where Winds Meet minimum requirements, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, an Intel Core i7-9700 processor, and 16GB of RAM. Overall, this isn't a particularly difficult requirement to meet, but there is one interesting caveat to the game's listed requirements.

According to the developers, while the game can run on the above on a desktop PC, the game's laptop minimum requirements are considerably higher. As such, the Where Winds Meet laptop requirements demand an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q, an RTX 3060, an RTX 4050, or an RX 6650M XT GPU. 

This level of hardware for the laptop just so happens to bring the game more or less in-line with the Where Winds Meet recommended specs, which demand an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GPU, an Intel Core i7-10700 CPU, and 32GB of RAM on desktop PC. This level of hardware should get the game up and running without issues, but the developer has already outlined the level of hardware you'll need to fully benefit from the game's graphics settings on high.

So, in order to meet the Where Winds Meet ultra requirements (also known as the high specifications), you will need an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, an Intel Core i7-12700K CPU, and 32GB of RAM.

Of course, as these specs are for the beta access period, there is a chance that they will chance prior to the game's release. It is worth mentioning that the beta access period for the game does require an internet connection.

The Where Winds Meet download size on PC comes in at 100GB of SSD space. There are no official numbers for the Where Winds Meet PS5 download size, but it is likely to be in the same ballpark as the PC requirements, meaning it will likely demand 80GB to 100GB of PS5 storage space. 

At present, the game is heading into beta, and so the final download size could increase for consoles and PCs. What is certain is that you will need an SSD to play the game, as HDDs have been ruled out by the developers. Where Winds Meet Steam

At present, the game does not have a Steam page, and there has been no word from the developer regarding the game's availability on Valve's platform. Considering the game is due for a 2024 release, it is still possible that Where Winds Meet will launch on Steam despite the lack of a store page presently, however it is just as likely that the game will launch using a bespoke browser, via the Epic Games store, or via some other medium.
