The next Monster Hunter Wilds beta is set for Thursday, February 6, 2025 until Sunday, February 9, 2025. A second window will also be available between Thursday, February 13, 2025 and Sunday, February 16, 2025. This beta is due to pitch players against a returning monster: the Gypceros, a poisonous wyvern with a disorientating flash ability.

The first Monster Hunter Wilds beta closed on Monday, November 4, 2024, having given players access to the character creator and a limited trail of the story mode. The MH Wilds beta launched to a significant Steam player count, surpassing the all-time player account of its predecessor MH World.
