At present, the War Thunder download size for PC sits at 17GB of HD space. That, however, is only the minimum amount of space recommended. The developers actually recommend that you make 95GB of HDD or SSD space available for the full War Thunder download.

We recommend electing for an SSD over a HDD to eke out some additional performance, which you'll definitely need in the middle of a dogfight or tricky tank manoeuvre.
