Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 system requirements

To run the Civilization 7 requirements, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, an Intel Core i3-10100 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 20GB of SSD space.

Considering the previous Civilization game was released in 2016 and required fairly modest system requirements, it's no surprise the Civilization 7 system requirements are equally sensible. That said, the specs needed to play the game on the ultra preset are eye-watering.

But, to start off, the Civilization 7 minimum requirements only require an AMD RX 460 graphics card, an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 processor, and 8GB of RAM. This will be enough to run the game at 30FPS on a 1080p resolution on the "Low" graphics preset, so you'll likely want to aim a bit higher to get the best experience. 

In order to ensure a smooth experience and meet the Civilization 7 recommended specs, you'll need an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, an Intel Core i5-10400 CPU, and 16GB of RAM, which should also eliminate any performance issue concerns. This will get a stable 60FPS experience on the "Medium" graphics settings, but the ultra demands way more.

To play the game at its absolute best and meet the Civ 7 ultra specs, you'll need an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, an Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, and a whopping 32GB of RAM. At that level of hardware, you shouldn't have any issues running any modern game, nevermind Civilization 7!

An official Civilization 7 release date for February 11, 2025 was confirmed by Firaxis alongside a full cinematic trailer.
